About MCYC Leadership Team
Get Leadership experience and represent MCYC to your peers and in the community as a Monroe County Youth Council Leadership Team member during the 2021-22 School Year.
Leadership Team Applications are accepted year-round, but you must complete the eligibility participation requirements before applying. See below!
Commitment
-
A Commitment of 2-4 hours/month of leadership team and Council event participation
-
Attend 1-2 Online or In-Person Leadership Council Meetings per month Sept-May (1 hour each and hybrid format)

Participate in planning and leadership for MCYC created events and experiences, including:
-
Producing monthly ENGAGE series events on topics that matter to teens
-
Advising on a promoted list of teen-friendly volunteer opportunities (TASC - Teen Action Service Corps)
-
Advocating for Youth Voices through regular polls and reporting
Eligibility
-
Must be enrolled in a Monroe County High School or Home School Equivalent
Completion of:
-
MCYC Youth Leadership Summit (presented 2x year in Sept and January; sign up website works better on a computer)
AND -
Either verified attendance of 3-hours of Community Volunteer Service from the TASC list
OR
-
Verified attendance at 1 (one) MCYC ENGAGE series event or experience (held monthly)

Submit a completed MCYC Leadership Team Member Application (accepted year-round),
